COMPASSIONATE ALLOWANCE
This is a way for Social Security to quickly identify standards for disability benefits. The following cancers may be eligible for Compassionate Allowance:
  • Acute Leukemia
  • Adrenal Cancer which has metastasized or is inoperable
  • Adult Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
  • Bladder Cancer
  • Breast Cancer & Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC)
  • Esophageal Cancer
  • Gallbladder Cancer
  • Head & Neck Cancers
  • Kidney Cancer – inoperable or unresectable
  • Large Intestine Cancer – metastasized, inoperable, unresectable or recurrent
  • Liver Cancer
  • Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
  • Ovarian Cancer
  • Pancreatic Cancer
  • Prostate Cancer
  • Small Cell Cancers – Large Intestine, Prostrate or Thymus, Female Genital Tract and Lung
  • Small Intestine Cancer – metastasized, inoperable, unresectable or recurrent
  • Stomach Cancer
  • Thyroid Cancer
  • Ureter Cancer
